Tisserand Therapy

Robert Tisserand, internationally known as an aromatherapy pioneer, created Tisserand Aromatherapy. His health care practice launched in 1969, while his discovery of aromatherapy took place in 1974. Tisserand Aromatherapy was the first firm to market the essential oils and aromatic products for the aromatherapy process. Tisserand wrote the first book on aromatherapy published in English. This was in 1977. The Art of Aromatherapy, Tisserand's much lauded text, was subsequently translated into a total of nine additional languages.

Tisserand was convinced of aromatherapy's medicinal properties. As a member of the editorial committee of the International Journal of Aromatherapy he debuted the Journal in 1988. He was its editor for another 12 years. Tisserand aromatherapy work is often side by side physician and herbal professionals.

Tisserand aromatherapy work is based on the latest studies and reports. Robert Tisserand focuses closely on higher education, serving as one principal and founder of the Tisserand Institute in London England. Tisserand has given aromatherapy lectures in many countries, conducing three conferences on the subject which were attended by professionals the world over. Interviews with Robert Tisserand on aromatherapy have been numerous - in print, on TV and on the radio.

A hands-on administrator, Robert Tisserand remains active in aromatherapy creation, formulating its essential oils and defining the extracts of herbs for production. The most recent aromatherapy production by Robert Tisserand is entitled Essential Oil Safety. The first definitive reference book for aromatherapy's safe production and use, the book covers 300 or more essential oils that are used in the creation of aromatherapy oils and products.

Tisserand aromatherapy products include blended and essential oils, massage oil base and blended massage oils. Products of rich essential oils, as well as lavender, tea tree, bitter orange and white mint products are available for purchase online, as well as baby bliss, vaporizing aromatherapy products. Tisserand Aromatherapy also offers gift packs and aromatherapy accessories.
Tisserand aromatherapy products are used for bathing, massage, vaporization, and inhaling. Essential aromatherapy oils by Tisserand, once diluted with one tablespoon of lotion or vegetable oil to five drops of pure essential oil, is a soothing and energizing massage.

Three to five drops of Tisserand aromatherapy oils in bath water is therapeutic and relaxing. The skin absorbs some of the oil, while the remainder is evaporated by the heat from the water.
The use of six to twelve drops of essential Tisserand aromatherapy oils in a vaporizer creates a relaxing and invigorating aroma.

While not all Tisserand aromatherapy pure essential oils should be inhaled, some, such as eucalyptus have great clearing and healing properties. All it takes are three to five drops of the essential oil in a bowl of water that is very hot but not to the point of boiling. Inhalation of this combination through a vaporizer for five to ten minutes is ideal.

Tisserand aromatherapy oils are not automatically recommended in some circumstances. If someone has a skin condition, asthma, epilepsy, is pregnant or is taking prescription medication, she or he cold clear the Tisserand aromatherapy treatment with a physician.
